For Pondering (2006)
orchestra version

"For Pondering" is a pensive work; one of daydreams and imagination. The text unfolds as a theme and variations. In the fragmented early variations, the composition takes a chamber approach, employing enclaves of the larger whole. With passing time, the orchestration burgeons, gaining unity in its approach to the soaring climax. At the work’s twilights, the theme returns, fading away into reflection.
