 Refuge (2003) The work was inspired by Terry Tempest Williams' book "Refuge," a deeply emotional account of the Great Salt Lake's rise concurrent with her mother's breast cancer. While I was working on the piece, Ms. Williams visited Dartmouth. She broke down crying on the podium and really challenged us to make a difference in the world. |
